Commentary from my professor on my solo Exhibition.
“You should be so proud of your show and the bodies of work you have accumulated over the past two years. I love it because it really shows your diverse interests and ability to render ideas in different genres of photographic practice. The curation and placement of photographs in relation to each other is outstanding. The grid for the daily thoughts project works well blending color and adding into a larger tapristry of images and people. The Obama rally comes across a one large specticle, a ground swell of people coming together and the juxtaposing of framing both protrait and horizonal works so well. The detroit images have a clear order to them—and the black and white and color images come to represent reality and a blossoming hopeful transition. The large scale of the extended portrait series gives the work presence. I am proud of you.”
